House Democrats have declared an "Anti-Crypto Corruption Week" to counter Republican-led bills on stablecoins, crypto market structures, and CBDCs. Ranking Members Maxine Waters and Stephen Lynch condemned the GOP's "Crypto Week" agenda as dangerously lacking consumer protections.

Waters framed the legislation as enabling "Trump’s unprecedented crypto scam," citing the former president’s reported $1.2 billion crypto portfolio growth through ventures like World Liberty Financial. The GENIUS Act, a stablecoin regulation bill initially opposed by Democrats, has become a focal point after recent passage.
